Using Face ID to unlock your iPhone?  You can now continue wearing your mask.

Apple released a new version of the iPhone on Monday that supports the Face ID feature that allows users to unlock their phones while wearing a mask.

According to Apple, the iOS 15.4 update will be suitable for the iPhone 12 and newer devices.
Following the update, users will see a prompt asking if they want to use Face ID while wearing a mask, followed by the process of scanning their face without a mask. Users who do not have Face ID will be asked if they want to enable the feature.

When enabled, the iPhone will use Face ID to unlock while wearing a mask.

Prior to the update, the only way to unlock iPhones with Face ID and a mask was to use an Apple Watch. Once enabled, Apple Watch users can wake their iPhone and unlock it by glancing at the screen.
The update’s details were first revealed following the launch of a developer beta in January.
The update also includes new emoji and an additional Siri voice option.
